Straight To The Point – What is The Style Revolution? We are a  fashion swapping events company. We organise these fashion swaps to take place in various venues around Norfolk. We invite you to bring along items in your wardrobe that are unworn, worn once or well cared for yet don’t fit you, don’t suit you or are simply gathering dust! We will allocate points to each item you bring, these accumulated points go onto your style card & our database. When you come along to an event you will see that we have created a shop with a difference in that every item is tagged with points & not money. Peruse the items at your leisure then we call the ‘SWISH’ – This is where the shopping adrenalin kicks in! First come first served, it’s so exciting to see what you get, a treasure trove!  Buy your ticket on the night at the venue…Only £5

Apparently as a nation we hoard over £2 billion in fashion!! Wardrobes filled with items we bought for a special occasion that never came up, don’t fit us anymore or bargains with the tags still on. It ends now! Come and swap at The Style Revolution for items that you will wear today and look fabulous in everyday! FASHION HAS NO LIMITS – ALL WELCOME

FAQ’s:

What happens to leftover items? We will let all items see in two events & if they are still unselected they will be donated to charity. Charities will vary each time. All items leftover essentially become stock for The Style Revolution & will therefore be taken to the next event. The Style Revolution will never sell off stock to make financial gain.

What if I am tall? What if I am petite? What if I am a plus size?Regardless of your shape, size or height we will fine tune our display to meet the needs of our customer & will create specific sections when stock allows. We cannot guarantee what items will be brought in so it will remain unpredictable.

What if I have designer/high value fashion? While you are welcome to bring items in of any value to our events, we recommend that you save them our designer swishes.

Why is there a ticket charge? We are a company that hires out venues & markets an event to bring together a large & varied selection of fashion for you to swap. This fee helps us to cover these costs.

What To Expect?

An array of clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery, belts & scarves displayed. Don’t think jumble sale think boutique.
The venue will be open from 12.30 to receive your items right up until 8pm (The swish takes place at 8.30pm). In return for your items you will receive a style card stating your points earned. Each item is graded by its type ie: top, skirt, dress etc,.

Bring along 5 or more items of fashion (Clothes, Shoes, Handbags, Jewellery, Belts & Scarves). The more you bring the more points you earn & therefore the more you can choose!

On the day of the event your style card acts as an entrance ticket. Peruse the array of fashion to the beat of some great music for upto 2 1/2 hours before selecting. An interim will be called, we shall clarify the Swish rules & then it’s 5,4,3,2,1…30 minutes to pick up your new wardrobe, enjoy the buzz, enjoy the excitement, adrenalin never felt sooooooooo good! Check out with one of our style assistants who will deduct your points, any points leftover will rollover to the next event that you attend. It’s hot, it’s stylish, it’s a fashion revolution & it’s in Norwich…DON’T MISS IT!

The Story behind The Style Revolution

Simply a vision and now a reality for two friends Valerie & Claire. It began with us experiencing a low cash moment but craved the buzz of shopping. We decided to sift through our wardrobes for items that we felt suited each other & swapped them. This resulted in a bin bag of clothes for each other (If truth be known we put them in posh bags that we had accrued from previous shopping trips!).

Each day that we wore an item we would text or facebook each other saying what we had styled it with. We had such a lasting buzz from it that we started telling friends what we had done and that they should try it…The penny dropped! We started spending post-work evenings brainstorming ideas from the name, to what each event would involve, venues. When we got tired our ideas got crazier, then we would get second wind & some of our finer decisions have been made at midnight including the name The Style Revolution.

We held two small home events to get feedback from friends and we became more & more excited as it seemed our idea was a winner! As we have delved further & further into the impact on wearing fashion we have come to realise that obstacles are in the way of women always looking their best. Let us share some of those obstacles;

Where will I wear it? I feel overdressed! I need a special occasion to wear it! I will fit into it one day!
