This was an absolute must-write blog! A good friend of mine whom I know won’t mind me saying that her weight & clothes size ups & downs have been very frustrating for her.

She lives out in Spain and it has been a year since I last saw her, and there before me stood a woman who has dropped from a size 16 to a 12 but, her shopping habits had not changed!

Myself & Val are pretty renowned for getting to the point and with my friend I had to tell her to take a good look at herself in the mirror and see what I saw. This is a woman that selected each clothing item in sizes 16, 14 & 12 and thinking that the bagginess of the 16-14′s were ok. With alot of encouragement she dared to put on the size 12′s only to learn that they not only fitted her perfectly but, showed off her new figure.

It struck me for a moment when we said goodbye…how many women shop this way?? Is it habit, a comfort zone or are we afraid to show off our figure? The moral of the story is not about being a smaller size it’s about wearing clothes to flatter your figure. Too many of us are hiding our silhouette. Be proud of your shape and look fabulous darling!

The Style Revolution tip: Our swish layout for clothing encourages women to swap for clothes that make you look good today. We do not put our clothing in strict size order because as you know you can be a size 14 in one shop and a 16 in another. Our swishes bring various designers together in one place so, please try on regardless of size tag as it’s all about how it fits!
