I went to my second networking at the relaxed ‘Coffee at Caistor’ (if coffee is not for you trust me there is choice; herbal teas, tea plus fruit & muffins, they know how to make women feel at home!)

I read a book ‘Brilliant Networking’ prior to going to the first one as I had my own illusion, backed up by others that they are pretty daunting. The book was so right when it describes all the characters you meet, at times making me chuckle when it was so spot on!

Today, what I absorbed from the event was just how determined women can be, how one minute they can be stuck in a rut, feeling trapped by the career they have always done and have been so loyal to careers for more than a decade! But, at some eventual point something clicks and wham bam, quit the old, take a risk on the new and hey presto they realise they do have confidence, they can make things work and they can be happy at work.

What people in business need is mentoring, guidance, support and a fresh look on their concept. This kind of networking made us realise things such as what does The Style Revolution mean to somebody who doesn’t know us? We were so elated when everybody said they loved the name but what does it mean, well we hope to have answered that question by putting our new slogan at the forefront of our marketing campaign; Not WEARING it, just SWISH it! This is a brief way of saying, don’t hold onto items in your wardrobe that don’t make you feel great today, don’t hold onto them if they don’t fit you or simply don’t suit your image now.
