    Val & I have to begin our review of the London Fashion Weekend with the many fashion faux pas! Yes mistakes can be made at the trendiest events such as this, some were so interestingly bad that they earned a face from Val…Let me explain, it has become a joke between us that Val cannot contain her thoughts when she sees a fashion faux pas & the funny thing is that she says nothing, her face says it all!

    On this occasion I had to agree, imagine head to toe turquoise yes even a hair scrunchie! Next a combo of wet look leggings, farm boots & a cowboy shirt. We were somewhat baffled yet fascinated by the many attempts on individuality.

    This year the event was huge, spread between two buildings this forced us to have a mad 30 minute dash to spend at the end giving us the same adrenalin rush that will come at The Style Revolution.

    We had to mention a few designer names that really impressed us;

    Camila – a beautiful feminine & floaty Australian brand with unique & individual pieces the kind of fashion that you come to LFW for. Every item we looked at the team knew it’s story how it was made & how to wear it. Style advice like this is priceless!

    Gilda’s Tryst – beautiful, classic handbags so much so that this is where we purchased one of the raffle prizes for our first event.

    Leju – one of a few eco-friendly companies who utilise vegetable ivory as an alternative to an elephants tusk, now that’s innovative!

    As we perused the stalls we began to ask ourselves ‘Has Gok Wan sent us accessory crazy?’ Spending good money on an item & then accesorising it like mad to make it individual, what happened to classic pieces; ones that are so well-made that they are wearable & usable?

    Also, despite a recessioning credit crunch we still love to shop…Vivienne Westwood Pashmina a £119 price tag, a bargain must have according to the 18 year old!
